BS OHSAS 18001
The Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) specification have been developed by BSI (British European Standard) in response to urgent customer demand for a recognizable occupational health & safety management system.
The BS OHSAS 18001 certification highlights the requirements of a Health and Safety Management System in working places, and is addressed to all kinds of Organizations, enabling them to set up a Management System geared to protect workers’ health and safety by setting definite policies and targets.
The Safety Management System allows to:
· Considerably reduce the risk of major accidents;
· Improve prevention and working places’ protection, so cutting injuries;
· Increase staff satisfaction and improve work atmosphere.
This Standard is consistent with ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards, and fully complements their requirements.
