GLOBALGAP
GLOBALGAP´s aim is to establish a standard for Good Agricultural Practice (G.A.P.) applicable to the whole of global agriculture anywhere in the world. The GLOBALGAP standard is designed to ensure food safety monitoring the way food is produced on the farm.
In particular the basic concepts of the standards are: - minimizing detrimental environmental impacts of farming operations - reducing the use of chemical inputs - ensuring a responsible approach to worker health and safety as well as animal welfare.
GLOBALGAP is a single integrated standard with modular applications for different product groups, ranging from plant and livestock production to plant propagation materials and compound feed manufacturing.
Certiquality is allowed to operate in Fruit & Vegetables protocol and Flower & Ornamental protocol as well.
The GLOBALGAP standard is subject to a 3 year revision cycle of continuous improvement to take into account technological and market development.
